Amelia’s Beeswax Candles

After my eight year old daughter made some cash selling Hollyhock seeds, her younger sister felt that she ought to have something to sell too. Eventually we came up with the idea of beeswax candles, bought some kits, and got busy melting and pouring wax!

These candles have around 100g beeswax in them and the cup is a sturdy plastic that can be re-used or recycled. They have individually hand-decorated labels, carefully adorned with a bee and a candle.  Beeswax candles make a nice beehive smell and might make a neat gift. The wicks on most of these are a little smaller than they should be so the flame does not melt all the wax as it goes. Bigger wicks will be used for future candles!
