Description
Have you even heard of Tōwai honey??
It’s not a kind that’s easy to find, and usually it is blended into bush honey. This is from a batch put together from hand-picked honey frames harvested from hives situated near the Puketi forest in Northland.
Tōwai makes a very pleasant, sweeter variety of honey with a in interesting twist in the taste. This honey has been creamed but has maintained a very soft and light texture, with a thin layer of separated honey at the top.
Tōwai honey is a lesser known honey in New Zealand but it is similar to honey from the Kamahi tree that is common on the West Coast of the South Island.
Produced by an affiliate beekeeper and brought to you by Don Buck Honey. Most of what remains of this batch is in black pots – the clear pots seen in some pictures are nearly sold out.
